Complaints Jump at Ottawa Police Service

The number of public complaints filed against Ottawa Police officers has hit a five year high.
A report for the Ottawa Police Services Board shows the public filed 247 complaints in 2007, up from 204 in 2006.
The complaints include excessive force, improper conduct, harassment and neglect of duty.
A full explanation for the increase in complaints will be given this evening at the Police Services Board meeting.
The number of Chief's complaints against officers also jumped from 174 in 2006 to 235 last year.
I've had to deal with an Ottawa Police individual twice in the last 2 days and both times I was treated with disrespect. It seems like the police individuals I had dealing with couldn't even be nice to nice person. Has their job made their heart hard?
ReplyDeleteIt's not about heart... It's about common sense and respect. There is a sense of lawless-ness that these officers seem to subscribe to... Nobody is monitoring them. Nobody is asking questions. Nobody is saying anything... OUT OF FEAR! You want to know how the biggest gang in Ottawa is: The Ottawa Police Service! Your best weapon is a video camera or tape recorder! Get names and badge numbers! Contact the Ottawa Police Professional Standards Department! Make your complaint!
ReplyDeleteMy roomate and I got horrible treatment from the ottawa police dept. We are being stalked by her ex-boy friend and because the ex's brother is a cop they treat us like criminals. We laid numrous complaints against the stalker and the police dept. and still no action. We had the Ottawa Police Professional Standards Dept come over and all they did was try to find excuses for the misconduct. They are police officers and they will try to help themselves before they help the public. This has got to stop.

ReplyDeleteI had a guy named Chris Moore from OTTAWA .. He told me that half his family are cops and the other half gangsters !! And that's why things never change because the cops are the family of the drugs and guns on the streets .. But like they didn't know that
ReplyDeleteI've been falsely accused by my ex wife in sep07 2014 ,now its March 18 2015 and have not been arrested or charged ,you ask what what Im accused of ? Don't no that's right not allowed I've bin told by Detective Anderson. but she told me I cant see my daughter or step son till the investigation is over, ok how long dose it take? were are my rights????
